About Us

Our Mission
Our mission is to create a collaborative environment where young female professionals interested in social action can take initiative, brainstorm, network and build friendships with like-minded individuals in Los Angeles. With this mission, we lead and inspire change for young women and girls by giving back to our community.

What We Do
We focus on three main initiatives: (1) provide free business and consulting services for female-led nonprofits, social impact groups, and small businesses; (2) improve the lives of families, women, and children in Los Angeles through volunteering; (3) host social and philanthropic events to raise funds and awareness for critical causes and social issues we are focused on (see Social Issues below).

AAUW and YWTF
The Young Women’s Task Force is an affiliate organization of the American Association of University Women. The American Association of University Women (AAUW) is the nation’s leading voice promoting equity and education for women and girls. Since our founding in 1881, AAUW members have examined and taken positions on the fundamental issues of the day — educational, social, economic, and political.

Social Issues
We focus on nonpartisan women’s issues. Our key priorities are:

  • STEM Education Gap/Wage Gap
  • Mentorship and Education
  • Improving Financial Literacy
  • Homelessness
  • Domestic Violence
  • Women’s Health

Join us today and help us transform the lives of women and girls.
